Earth Science

STEM will offer you a subject on Earth Science that would discuss continental drift, index fossils, and renewable energy. This program would also help you identify areas that vulnerable to disasters, interpret hazard maps, and learn the proper use of hydrometereological tools.

Earth Science Modules cover key topics such as:

Earth Characteristics & Mapping
Force, Stability & Balance
Pollution & Human Impact
Water & Erosion
Severe Weather & Hazards
Earthquakes
Water on Earth & Pollution

The purpose of STEM Applications in Earth Science is to engage students collaboratively in the process of science and engineering while learning basic concepts in physics, chemistry, Earth science, and engineering. This curriculum is designed to integrate NGSS standards in science and engineering with the CCSS standards for math and literacy. Through this, students will experience a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate, relevant to their lives, organized around inquiry, and that shows them the connections between science, mathematics, engineering and literacy. The course is organized around the "spheres" that make up the study of Earth science: the lithosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, and beyond Earth. As each sphere is explored, topics in science and engineering are introduced and the interconnectedness of Earth's systems as well as of the STEM disciplines is revealed.
